Hi,

I just got a new laptop with Vista (had XP before). I have photos I want to
use as my screen saver but don't know how to set that up as I don't see where
I can "browse" to select the location of my photos when in the "screen saver
settings" window, which is how I did it in XP. Any ideas?

Thanks. Kathy

Right-click on your desktop and select

Personalize > Screen Saver > Windows Live Photo Gallery > Settings

Select the photos screensaver, then click the settings button and you will
see where to change the picture directory.

Hello Kathy, my name is Rick and I work with the Windows Outreach Team.
To change or set an image as your screen save please follow these
instructions:
To change a screen saver
1. Open Screen Saver Settings by clicking the Start button, clicking
Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking
Personalization, and then clicking Screen Saver.
2. Under Screen saver, in the drop-down list, click the screen saver
you want to use.
3. Click Preview to see what your chosen screen saver will look like.
4. Click OK.
To create your own screen saver
You can create a personalized screen saver that displays selected
pictures and videos as a slide show.
1. Open Screen Saver Settings by clicking the Start button, clicking
Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking
Personalization, and then clicking Screen Saver.
2. Under Screen saver, in the drop-down list, click Photos.
3. Click Settings to choose the pictures and videos you want in your
slide show and select other options. After you make your changes, click
Save.
4. Click OK.
I hope that that works for you. If you have additional questions don’t
hesitate to ask. Good luck
Rick, Windows Outreach Team
