How do I remove this update? KB912812

I need to remove this update. I can't upgrade my JRE to another version.
Windows update states I can remove this in add/remove programs. I am unable
to find it there.

I have the opposite problem - I can't download KB912812! Are there any known
problems with this particular download?

Try downloading the update directly and install:

Cumulative Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB912812)

Have you got "show updates" checked in Add/Remove?
