I would like to restore my laptop, but there is no date where I can restore
it from, I can only create a date.
Is there any way in which I can restore it from the date I started to use it?

Your laptop's manufacturer has probably provided the means to restore it to
the factory condition. Check the documentation that came with it.

Call the manufactures support line... You may have to use the recovery/
install CD that came with your PC, but you should be able to get it
back to its virgin state.... make sure you back up your personal files
first as you may loose everything. Another option would be Windows
system recovery which doesn't require you to wipe the drive....

And after restoring it, this time make sure that System Restore is enabled on
your system drive. It will save you a lot of trouble later.

Wait a second. When you try to restore it offers you a set of restore
points. If you've never created one manually, there should be restoration
points tied to the software you installed, Windows upgrades, hotfixes, etc.

It is all there, just take a look. Go to the earliest restore point at the
bottom of that list view and highlight it.

That's assuming that System Restore was not disabled by the user or even the
PC maker.

Cat was thinking very hard :

Turn off System Restore and then turn it back on - that will clear up the
corrupted restore points and it should work from then on (until it gets
corrupted again!)
