Hi,
I no longer have the internet connected icon showing up in the system
tray, since doing a reinstall, I'v looked in the obvious places, but
no luck - coming from XP it was simple.. tick the box to display tray
icon.. but.. where the heck is it in Vista???
many thanks,
Stu
oh.... also - I dont see a way of re-specifying the "my documents"
folder I'm storing docs/phoyos etc in folders on another partition -
but can't see how to set the current Documents link - to open THAT
folder on "E" drive/partition,
thanks again.

Right click on the Task Bar, Notification Area, check Network, uncheck Hide
Inactive Icons.

In Vista it's just Documents. Go to C:\Users\yourusername\. Then right click
on Documents and select the Location tab. You can then tell it where you want
it located.

Hi Neutrino,

This may help you on the Network icon.

This tutorial will show you how to relocate your Documents folder to
another location.

Hope this helps you,

Re the missing icons: follow the instructions here (but note the first
comment...) to clear the appropriate registry keys

Re the location of Documents - Brink has a tutorial on that over at
VistaX64.com (I think... he's easy to find though)
