The vista search is sometimes faster than XP seach, but XP gave me many
parameters to search by such as:

- File name
- content text
- file size
-date range
- file type

You could even combine the parameters.

I am having a tough time limited my search to data, file type, and content
text.

Suggestions and/or reference?

Thanks,

Hi Steve,

You may use Advanced Query Syntax to refine searches in Vista (and WDS).
