How do I stop Adobe Updater from running on my daughter's account?

Whenever my daughter logs into her account on Vista, the Adobe Updater wants
to run. It can't because that requires elevated privileges, which she
doesn't have. So the UAC always pops up on her and demands to elevate so
that it can run the Adobe Updater. I want to stop the Adobe Updater from
running on her account, but I don't know how.

How do I do that?

Rod

Edit > Preferences > Updates

Select "Do not automatically check for critical updates"

I couldn't find Updates under Preferences. Is it not a part of version
8.1.1?

Help/Check for Updates/Preferences/Automatically check for updates.
Either that or take it out of MSCONFIG.

Hello Rod,

Go to HELP from the menu bar and choose Check for updates, after it you can
close it or set the Preferences.

Best regards

Open your Abobe program found in the list of programs on your computer and
in the Menus find the Options choice, or it could be called Preferences.
Look at the list of tab and find one that gives you an Updater option and
change it.

You can also use Windows Defender_Tools_Software Explorer...you can disable
Adobe Updater in there...select show for all users button first.
