Hi All,
About 7 mos. ago I bought an upgrade disc to go from XP Home-2005. Media
Ctr. Edition to Vista Home Premium ed. My PC ran real well until recently.
It started making errors especially with Explorer 7 and freezes occasionally.
I clicked on "System Recovery" & all I got was for the old XP OS. As I only
have an UPGRADE Vista disc I have no idea what to do. When I installed Vista
a Microsoft tech walked me through it on the phone. I only have Vista on
this PC with no extra partitions. I have the 32 bit system.
I also have a problem with a personal HD trying to completely defrag it. I
get to about 48% of compressing files when the HD justs blinks & won't go
past 48% at all. I tried defragging it on my 2nd PC, which still has XP on
it and I get the same stop point.
I would appreciate any feedback you have to offer on these 2 problems.
