Tony,
I'm not familiar with that update, but:
Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
In the Add/Remove window, activate the "Show Updates" option at top if not
already checked. Scroll down to the "Windows XP - Software Updates" section
and find the relevant update. Click the entry to expand. If it doesn't say,
"This update cannot be removed" and there IS a Remove button, you can
uninstall it there.*
If you don't have the KB id and installed a bunch of updates that day, you
might instead begin by going back to the Windows Update site and checking
your installation history to get the KB number...and/or confirm you're about
to Remove the right entry by following the "support info" link in the Add or
Remove Programs listing.
*If it says it can't be uninstalled, then you might try rolling back to the
Restore Point that should have been created at the time it was installed...or
to earlier point...altho it's hard to say with certainty that rolling back
will even revert that particular "un-uninstallable" thing or that it would be
exactly the way it was before.
HTH,
