Hi Buggs1a,

You cannot get rid of it Vista since it is a part of Vista, but you can
hide and delete the shortcuts to it and just not use it. It will not use
any of your computer resources, other than what little space it uses on
the hard drive. This will show you how you can remove the "Sync Center"
icon from the Control Panel to help hide it.

It's in my sys tray and I want it gone. I have hide on but I want to totally
remove it from the sys tray. it was not there before and then i accidently
opened sync center and now it's always in the sys tray. i don't want it in
the sys tray.
how would you do that?

Ok Buggs1a,

What happens when you right click on the Sync Center sys icon? See if
you have a option to turn it off, or one in it's settings.

You can also set the Notification Area to "Always Hide" the icon to.

If none of the above helps, then see if resetting the Notification Area
icons will help.
