How do you log in as the administrator

I built and set up a new PC with Vista and all is well. I have adminstrator
privileges but, out of curiosity, how would I log in as the Adminstrator?
In XP I hit F8 when booting and in Safe Mode I could log is as the
Adminstrator or any other user. In Vista Adminstrator is not an option in
Safe Mode. I don't know that I have a need for this, but I did set up an
Adminstrator account, and would like to test it.

Changes to the built-in administrator account in Vista:

By default, the "real" administrator account is disabled in Vista. I
personally haven't seen a lot of places that I really needed to use it, but
it has come up on a couple of occasions. The following link will step you
through enabling it. As noted in the article, you should set a strong
password for it after enabling, if you choose to enable, as anyone would be
able to do anything to your system with this access if they were able to get
on your system.

Since it is disabled there is probably no need for me to log in as the
Adminstrator, but I wanted to know anyway! Thanks for the link.

There isn't any reason to login, but because the built-in Administrator is
disabled I always caution people to make at least one extra user account
that has administrative privileges. It is much easier to use a Standard
account in Vista for your everyday work, so do that. Then have one or two
extra administrative accounts for emergencies. They don't take up much room
and if your only administrative account gets hosed you'll be very glad you
made that extra one.
