I have a question that Microsoft says is a Toshiba porblem and Toshiba says
it is a Microsoft problem. I have spent 6 days and numerous hours on hold
and numerous case numbers for the problem. Here is the problem. I am
running Windows Vista (from hell) and Power Point 2003. During my
presentation, I have inserted several mpg video clips that play automatically
during the presentation. This works fine with Windows XP. With the new
Windows Vista OS, the file plays on the laptop computer fine with audio and
video displayed on the screen; however, it will not display the video on the
projector. The projector will display a black screen. I composed a
presentation in Power Point 2007, as Toshiba suggested, and have the same
problem.
All of the videos will display through the projector if you run them in
Windows Media Player. It will not display on the projector if they are
played in Power Point. I am listing the equipment used to help in trouble
shooting. It has been determined that the projector and the laptop are not
the problems, occording to Toshiba and Microsoft. The problem is somewhere
with Vista and Power Point. Any help would be better than what Microsoft and
Toshiba can do.
