I want to spend my whole morning buggering about trying to find how to undo
something in Word which was accidentally switched on and whose switch off is
hidden somewhere down a menu down a menu down a menu

Then I want to spend a day buggering about with 'updates' which last forever
and then announce they've failed, following the fix it advice and finding
they still fail

The mystery is why Gates got to be so rich on the back of the most
irritating product ever marketed

Simple, he bought out or killed the competition.
WordPerfect just sort of hangs on, but they don't have an Office package.
Try Open Office.
