Try pressing the Ctrl+z button to see if you can get any text back.

Can I ask why you are using WORDPAD when you could be using Open Office,
which is the equivalent of probably MS Office 2003??????

Asking a question?
Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about,

Was the file saved to disk prior to it being deleted and re-saved?

If so the volume snapshot service might have it at some point in its life.
On Business and Ultimate you can use the Restore previous versions feature,
but on Home Premium you have to use some 3rd party software to get at the
snapshots like www.shadowexplorer.com which is free.

I guess people would rather use Wordpad then use Open Sores software. Good
for them.

Why would you commend something that is infinitely inferior to Open
Office unless it was pure ignorant PREJUDICE?
Surely the object of these news groups is to HELP people. To
deliberately slag off an application that is far in advance of the one
being talked about is just cretinous. Don't you think? Or maybe you
don't THINK....

If you knew who you were posting with you would not ask that question.
Currently he is being boycotted by most posters. He lies, mocks those who
express different opinions, uses false names and others.

He posts under others names including Bill Yanaire, Spankey de.... and a
host of others and has nicknames like Da LambChop and Da Baboon. The
swine will most likly reply to the reply I am writing to you. He also has
a mentor called Frank who also posts under a few other names and is known
as Da Jerk.

If you say it is nite they will say it is day. Frank is more vindictive
but Da LambChop is a bigger idiot and that takes a lot of doing.

I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you did not know who you were
posting with and the fact they are being boycotted.

In my view it has nothing to do with "crap" or with any measure of
quality. They are simply two entirely different kinds of programs
which should therefore not be compared with each other. Wordpad is
essentially nothing more than a glorified text editor, and Open Office
contains a word processor. Therefore, WordPad is better for creating
batch files, and Open Office is better for writing letters.
