Thanks for your reply. When I said 'My Documents', I should have said
'Documents'. I have looked in C:\Users\<username>\Documents, but the
subfolders (Pictures, Music etc.) are all empty.
I have a complete backup of the PC (using the built in Windows Backup tool),
of when it was running Vista Business - am I somehow able to get my personal
Documents out of there?
Would the following work?
1. Use Dell 'system restore' CD to restore the laptop to the way it was when
it arrived from the factory.
2. Use the backup to then restore it to include all my documents etc.
3. Re-upgrade the machine to Ultimate again.
This is the only way round the problem that I can see - do you know of any
other ways?
