Does ActiveSync go in sequential order by date in Calendar items?

When synchronizing Calendar with an Exchange server over the network (not
via a PC), does ActiveSync go in order of date? Mine crashes half way
through, but I can see the last one it was doing before the crash on the
CtrlLog.txt. Does this tell me anything about where the corrupt appointment
might be? Does it go in order?

Hi,
Microsoft never disclosed the order in which it synchronizes. However I do
know that with ActiveSync on the desktop, it performs TWO syncs in a row.

To find the corrupt appointment, I suggest creating a new calendar folder,
move the appointments there, sync and then move them back until you find the
one that does not sync.

this is a good idea and I'll try it. I kind of did it once, and I
narrowed down to a set of appointments, but when I got rid of them, it just
got stuck somewhere else. Since it worked perfectly right after a cold
reset, I think it's not just the appointments themselves but some sort of
ActiveSync state file or registry key that's being restored after the cold
reset that makes it choke on my calendar items. A tough one to diagnose. I
wish I knew more about what files ActiveSync used (or how to read the
logfile).

you're right; I'm about to give up looking for the cause and start from
scratch. I have a crazy amount of customizations on this thing, but I may
need to start from the beginning...

yep; I've got such a file, and just looking at it makes me shudder. But I
think it may be the only way to go now...
