Why why why??? did they do this?
it's time consuming and is just plain awful
what was wrong with the way it was done on older Messenger versions?
I hate it!

Greetings,

There are some advantages to it, namely being able to have it automatically transfer when the
user comes online (as opposed to having to wait till they come online), synchronization of
files you regularly update and resume.

However, the normal file transfer is still there, and there's no requirement that you need to
use Sharing Folders. Even I personally think both have their place but I rarely use the
feature and use the regular file transfer to be honest.

I love the resume feature but don't want it to be only automatic way (I am
the one who love overriding). Why not add the "Synchronize this file now"
command ? Many time I see my friend online and need to resend them a file
because the automatic synchronization don't start.

Wisut.

You could turn it off if you don't like it...

Hi Wisut,

It's a good feature request, I've actually not heard this suggested before. Although, I
think the design is that "it just works" without any sort of button to manually do things
like this.

Personally I've always wanted resume for the "normal" file transfer which would effectively
make both of us happy.
