where does Automatic Updates download to?

I was wondering, where does Automatic Updates places the downloads it
downloads. I am running WinXP with SP2. The reason I am asking,
was so I didn't have to re-download the updates when I go make a cd
for my personal use. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in
advanced.

Hi,

I don't know exactly, but there is a folder
'C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download' that was filled after downloading
the updates.

Richard;
If you have already installed the updates, there is no way to save
them for reuse.
Your only chance would be the folder Felix mentioned, but you need to
save before the data is deleted after installation.

You can download the updates from the Windows Update Catalog, burn to
CD and use them as needed.
