Does CCleaner 2.0 http://www.ccleaner.com/ harm or destroy anything in Vista
or has anyone experienced problems in Vista after having used CCleaner?

Hi MAT,

I've been using CCleaner for a good while now, and never had a problem
with it in Vista. However, just like any utility program, it can have
the potential to do harm if you do not properly set the settings and
just let it clean and delete item without first double checking them. It
is a great program to have and use though.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

CCleaner is used daily on my system (Vista Ultimate) without any issues. As
has already been said, though, you do need to check exactly what it is
removing.

I've used it to delete temporary files, and haven't noticed any problems.

mat, it is a great program. But check the settings before doing anything.
The only harm done is losing the history under your address bar in IE or
your MRU's
Works great and clearing temporary files

Actually Bobby I prefer to lose my history and MRU's I helps to keep my
system nice and tidy. But, yes, I agree, it is a great program.

I use both, CCleaner and the online MS "OneCare" (beta) cleaner.
No issues so far with any of my Vista machines.
