Does KB923414 replace KB896422 for W2K?

I read in Microsoft documentation that KB923414 replace KB917159 for XP, W2K,
W2003. From other side KB917159 replaces KB896422 for all OS except W2K. So,
does KB923414 replace KB896422 for W2K or I need to install KB896422 for W2k
despite of all replacing patches?
