How does one Re-install Win Xp Home Edition , please ?

When I try the original hard disk it says there are changes and will not work

Re-post your problem to microsoft.public.windowsxp.newusers and provide more details.

Does the system have XP Home with Service Pack 2? Do you have your XP CD , and does it already have SP2? If not, you may need to have a slipstreamed CD of XP with SP2.

Also, why is the "re-install" needed? And are you really referring to a Repair Install?
