Does Outlook Express still ignore the user's Close command?

For some strange reason, the e-mail client in Windows XP does not know
what Close means. When starting Outlook Express and checking for new e-
mail, if new e-mail cannot be retrieved, an attempt to close the
program is ignored. So then, after telling Outlook Express to shut down
and being ignored, you have to click Stop and then click Close again.

Does Outlook Express in Windows Vista still suck that way? The lousy
program should do what I tell it to do without having to be told three
times.

Upgrade to Thunderbird. It's free, works on both XP and Vista, and can
easily import all your OE stuff. Not only that, it has an excellent junk
filter and spell check. If that weren't enough, compared to OE, it's
very, very, very, very easy to back up and restore.

Get it at http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird
