Sorry, no. But there is an excellent tutorial on this site that will
definitely help you get them straightened out.

Actually my original response was not completely accurate. I should have
said, I can't say if SP1 addresses this issue or not. I just know that I
have not had the problem since I made the changes described in the
Vistax64.com tutorial I mentioned (which I did prior to installing SP1
and is now an automatic part of my "normal" Vista install checklist).

I don't find that to be a problem.
What folders are being rearranged?

The tutorial has not worked for me and for a lot of other people
either..Folders still get rearranged in a few days again..The only hope
is that this SP 1 fixes the problem..Would love to hear from people that
have installed SP1 to see if the problem was fixed..

Part of the problem from memory is that Vista looks for certain values in
the wrong place in the registry eg it looks for

BagMRU Size

at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local
Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell

where I believe it doesn't exist by default - but even creating a value
there isn't a full fix for the issue.

For example i will login to my music and every folder is in large
thumbnail view and then the next day it will be in medium thumbnail view
or when my mp3 files are set to medium icons and then the next time they
are in large icons..It also sorts the folders alpahabetically from time
to time which i dont want...Also when i customize my folders with
thumbnail pictures after a few days the thumbnail pictures would
dissapear and reset and i dont ever delete my thumbnail cache from disc
cleanup so i have no idea why it resets....Also my personal pictures are
set to large thumbnails and then the next day they will be changed to
medium thumbnails..This are the problems that im having..

Wow, sorry to hear that. I haven't had any repeat issues on 5 different
Vista machines since following the tutorial though. I think steps 21-24
to increase BagMRU Size are probably the key (once you've cleaned
everything else up).

You also have to pay close attention that you are modifying the correct
registry keys as well as the changes need to done from 2 different, but
very similar root paths:

*(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local
Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell...*
*&*
*HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shel l...)*
Making the changes in the wrong location could cause unexpected
results.

5000 ..So I went to both locations below and increased my bagMRU to
50000 on each one.....

(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CLASSES\LOCAL
SETTINGS\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\SHELL...
*& - 50000 *
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\SHELL ...) - 50000

It says on th tutorial to incease it to 20000 but i decided to increase
it to 50000 on both locations..Is 50000 ok ?

Jon, the registry path you listed for the BagMRU Size setting is
incorrect (which would be why you found that it did not exist). I think
that the fact that 2 different but very similar looking registry keys
are used may be the biggest gotcha about getting the tutorial to work
properly. You might want to double check your registry settings.
