I am running XP home and I know that you can NOT manually check for Windows
updates via the windows update website with a non-Microsoft browser. After
installing Windows XP SP2, I turned on Automatic Update with notification
only. My question is this: will Windows Update notify me of available
updates, with the icon in the notification area, if I am using a
non-microsoft internet browser?
