Domain migration

I have 2 domain 2003 forest that I recently dcpromed a 2008 r2 into the
forestroot domain. I did all the adprep commands but may not have ran adprep
/domainprep /gprep on the infrastructure master. There are 4 domain
controllers in the forest root and 2 domain controllers in the other domain.
After the dcpromo it seems that my XP machines operated by my desktop support
with the GPMC, cannot view the GPO's anymore. They are listed as 'Not
Found'. If I logon to the XP machine with domain admin rights I can see
everything I'm suppose to. Any clues?

Hello Larry not spam),

adprep /domainprep /gpprep is available only when you prepare a Windows 2000
domain for an upgrade to a Windows Server 2003 SP1 domain.

Adds inheritable ACEs to the GPOs that are located in the SYSVOL shared folder,
and synchronizes the SYSVOL shared folder among the domain controllers in
the domain. Also it provides updates that are necessary to enable Resultant
Set of Policy (RSOP) Planning Mode functionality.

Make sure the DCs have replicated with repadmin /showrepl dc* /verbose /all
/intersite >c:\repadmin.log. Also check the DCs for errors with dcdiag /v
/c /d /e /s:dcname >c:\dcdiag.txt

Best regards

You can look at resetting group policy settings, not sure if this is going
to help in your situation but read through carefully before you attempt it.
I would also suggest you get a backup.
