Hi there.

I've got two Win2k domains with trusts setup.

How would I go about syncing thw WINS servers? I need to browse between
different sites etc from the trusted domains.

Also, when I access a resource on the trusted domain (from either domain) I
get promted for a username and password - have turned off SID filtering but
it still happens, any ideas guys?

Cheers.

WINS wouldn't know a Domain if it tripped over one.

WINS replicates with Push/Pull Partners. So setup the WINS Servers as
Push/Pull Partners of each other. Then wait,...it is not going to happen
immediately. Note you cannot have two machines with the same name even if
they are in two Domains. Also note you can still have problems with DNS
Suffixes because a Source machine will try to append its own DNS Suffix to
the target machine's NETbios name which will be "wrong":

The ultimate solution is to never use Netbios Names to access machines
across domains,...always use the DNS FQDN so that the target machine is
properly defined.

I don't know.
Probably your group memberships are not cross-pollinated properly.
Just a guess.

Thanks Phil,

The domains are on different phyiscal networks, hence me needing to cross
subnet browse between them. When I try I'm getting 'access denied' in the
WINS consoles on each respective domains WINS servers.

Thanks, Andy

Hmm all working now and WINS is replicating between the different domains
domain controllers fine.
