Don't clear Sp.2 installation files too soon

Everyone (me included) is anxious to clean up their HD after installing
Sp.2.
Fortunately, because I have more than enough HD space I decided not to clear
out the files after the upgrade.
Fourteen days after the upgrade to Sp.2 I installed Windows Media Player 10,
within three days I had a problem. Zachd [ms] of the windowsmedia.player
group suggested that my SP.2 had been corrupted and that I should roll back
the Sp.2 update. This action enabled me to re-install WMP 9 and
subsequently re-install SP.2.
The moral of this story is "don't be too anxious to clear out the Sp.1
files/folders"
