don't have permission to delete file

I have a Real player video file that's an incomplete download. Every time I
try to delete it or move it to the recycle bin, I keep getting the Don't Have
permission message. I've googled about this problem and tried taking of it.,
and I still can't delete the file. I need a step by step walkthrough of how
to actually take ownership of this file so I can delete it. This is getting
very frustrating. Can anybody help?

Try removing the partially downloaded file from the RP playlist(s) first.
