I m trying to transfer video files over to my NMT ive followed 'these
instructions'
(http://www.networkedmediatank.com/sh....php?tid=12176) and all
went fine right up to the point of try to cut and paste the files into
the nmt drive where i got the "I don't have permissions" message, ive
tried turning off UAC no effect tried right clicking on the drive and
properties to go to security tab but the tab is not there? it is on my
other drives on me pc, any other ideas on what to do? many thanks

be sure you tried this first
> *Q: Vista wont let me or says I dont have permissions?*
> *A:* Turn OFF 'UAC'
> (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...-command-line/)
> whilst you are connecting via USB. Make sure you are logged in as
> administrator and that the drive letter once assigned and accessable has
> read and write permissions. Check this via
> right-click>properties>security.

do it from the admin account and see if it does work
* Press start
* Type: local security policy
* Press enter
* Expand local policies
* Click Security Options
* Double-click "Accounts: Administrator account status"
* Check Enabled
* Click OK

log off or switch users and log on as admin

open explorer
press ALT
click on tools
folder options
click on the view tab
go all the way to the bottom
and uncheck use simple file sharing...
you should be able to see the security tab now...
