I don't have a vista CD

my laptop came with windows vista installed but they didn't give me a disk
instead they made a back up drive. I want to know if i can get the cd so in
case that i can't restore the computer i could clean install?

Most PCs don't come with a CD anymore.
It would be a good idea to create a disk
image after you get it set up the way you want
it. Then store that on CDs and also on a
data partition, if you have one. That way, if the
hard disk faiks, you won't have to buy Windows
all over again.

You should have an option to create restore CDs, information should be
in the help files somewhere? That should be the very first thing you
do with a new PC.

You should also have the option to obtain the restore CDs from the
manufacturer, how to do so will be on the manufacturer's website.
