Hello all

I ahve some XP pro machiens on my domain that i dont want XP sp2 to be
pushed out to them, if i put these machines into there own OU and then apply
a GPO to them, can i in either the GPO or WUS make it so only these machines
do not get SP2?

I am running CRM on these machines and the servce pack breaks the CRM client

Hi,

How do you push out SP2 now? Are you using WSUS, or do you push out SP2
with a Software Deployment GPO (using SP2's update.msi)

Hi,

Create a computer group in WSUS where the SP2 update is not approved
for install, and put the computers into that WSUS group.

And a FYI:

Please post WSUS questions to the newsgroup dedicated to WSUS:
microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services

WebNews link to the WSUS newsgroup:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...pdate_services

Or use a newsgroup reader (default Outlook Express) to access this new
group:

Clicking on this link should open this group in OE:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...pdate_services
