Installed SP2 w/o issue (at least, that I'm aware of...). But now when I
double-click on a filename in Explorer/File Manager the application will load
but the associated file will not. For example, double-clicking on
"RunMe.xls" will launch MS Excel but "RunMe.xls" will not load. This is
particularly annoying when I have Visual Basic code using the Open Workbook
event.

Anyway to fix this?

I don't know if this is a correct fix or not but I got it to work like normal.
I opened Excel, clicked on "Help" then Detect and Repair...", selected
"Restore my shortcuts while repairing" and clicked the "Start" button.
