Double Entries in WMP 12

Hi Folks

I'm using WMP 12 on Windows 7 and there's a strange Issue with it. I store
my music files in a public folder for my wife using it within our
Homenetwork. So far so good. When i start WMP12 it starts scanning my
monitored folders. There's only one folder monitored, so this should not be
hard work. WMP 12 creates entries for each file it finds in the folder. Next
time i start WMP the game begins again. It scans the monitored folder and
creates a entrie fpr every file it finds. Now there are two entries for each
file. Same name, same path, everything the same.

But now wmp stops creating entries. Starting WMP, WMP scanning monitored
folder, not creating entries for files which existed before, creating entries
for new files.

I deleted the database to get a clean database, but it's always the same
behaviour. It seems that wmp wants double entries for each file.

Any idea?

In WMP v9 v10 & v11,one can open tools, options, edit the proper tabs to
uncheck the box letting WMP search for media files auto.

How exactly did you delete the database? Did you delete the actual
database file (CurrentDatabase_372.wmdb)? That's really not recommended,
and it's a much better idea to use Tools - Advanced - Restore media
library, in WMP 12 itself.

Regards
