Perhaps you have a duplicate mail account in your Windows Mail.

This problem is sometimes caused by a corrupted message
that is stuck on the server. Do you have web mail access to
your account? If so, delete the stuck message via your web
mail access. It will typically have a large attachment.

It's not a Windows Mail bug.

Tools | Accounts
Select the account and click Properties.
On the Servers tab the top box should say POP3 or IMAP.

Thanks for reply.
I will try you suggestion. But I still have problems, why my outlook 2003
works fine with all these mails in my acccount but the newer windows mail
not? I have recived the third copy of some mails today, the windows mail was
trying to revice 56 "new " mails. In this way m I have to remove the "stuck
mails" from my inbox using web browser,is there any better method? I do not
want to delete even the big mails.
Thanks .

I am receiving two messages of all e-mail for one rule only. What's up with
that? I have a rule sending messages to a certain person go to a certain
folder. The rule works except there are two copies for the emails in this
folder.

Can you post the rule?
Before you do, make sure the last part of the rule says
"and stop processing more rules."
