I recently purchased a copy of Vista Ultimate for my PC upgrade but I am
worried that VU might run too slow on the PC (I am not doing that big of an
upgrade so my RAM will be limited to 2GB). So I am wondering if there is a
way when I install Vista if I can get it to install just the Home Premuim
package?

No, if you have purchased Vista Ultimate you will have to install it, or buy
another license for Home Premium.
Ps. When I had Vista Ultimate with 2 gbs of ram it ran at normal speed, not
slow.

Hi GRM,

Vista Ultimate is a combination of the Business and Home editions. The
Business edition doesn't necessarily need to have the speed of the Home
editions and so you should have no problems running this edition. In addition
to this, although all versions of Vista will be present on your disk thus
enabling you to try out the different editions, you will be only able to do
this for a maximum of 30 days before you will have to reinstall. This is
because the product key that you purchased is only valid for that edition,
i.e. you cannot use a Home Premium key with a Business product or vice-versa.
If you could, then there would be no need for retailers to stock any other
than the Home Basic edition as everyone would undoubtedly buy that version
(because it is the cheapest) and then install the Ultimate version from the
same disk.
