I have Vista Home Premium. When I try to download .exe files I get the
message that file type unknown and that Windows does not recognise this file
type. Does any one know how I can run these files?

Sorry Gerry, you're SOL. You need Windows Vista Ultimate to
download .exe files.

If the file is really a program, like idiotsrus.exe, they should run, IF the
program is Vista compatible.
Unless you have a software suite (like Norton Internet Security) that blocks
the downloading of 'potentially dangerous' files, or the files get corrupted
in the download process, they should be fine.
Be sure you are downloading the Windows version... The Mac or Linux version
won't run.

Every .exe I have downloaded ran perfectly without any problems or hitches
whatsoever - as long as they were XP or Vista compatible.
