Download ALL IE6_SP1 Updates

I read and here so many things on and offline. This leads to that awful
syndrome of remembering ten or twenty percent of something. It almost
feels like your living in a dream!

Anyway, here's what I'm trying to remember. Can I download all the critical
updates, service pack fixes, etc., for IE6_SP1? In other words, they should
be rolled into one big package and must be complete and up to date.

I think I read in one of the PC mags that all of these updates could be
ordered
already burned onto a CD. If this same package is available for download
I would appreciate the info as to where to point my browser.

Hi

As long as IE6 SP1 is already installed, you need only one update
(because the IE updates are cumulative):

MS04-040/889293 (December 2004 Cumulative Security Update for IE)
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms04-040.mspx

It supersedes (includes and replaces) all previous IE updates for
IE6 SP1.

Thank you for replying Mr. Bakken.

Since most of us download all these updates sequentially, it's
easy to forget that the updating process is cumulative. Older
files are either deleted, replaced, or updated. New files are
sometimes added. Similar to the process of downloading
our all important antivirus updates.
