In IE, Tools>Internet Options>Connections.
Highlight the connection and click Settings.
In Dial-up Settings click Advanced - you will see the following:-
"Disconnect when Connection may no longer be needed".
“Disconnect if idle for ……. mins”
Set as required.
Your ISP might also have a disconnect time - check with them.
