download with being diconnected

I want to download Service Pack 2 and other updates, but they take so long
and my dial up connection kicks me off if I'm not active. I don't want to sit
here all day... Is there a way to get my computer to think I'm being active
so it won't kick me off line? Thanks.

In IE, Tools>Internet Options>Connections.
Highlight the connection and click Settings.
In Dial-up Settings click Advanced - you will see the following:-
"Disconnect when Connection may no longer be needed".
“Disconnect if idle for ……. mins�
Set as required.



Your ISP might also have a disconnect time - check with them.
