Hi,

I have tried 3 times to download and update this version and the first two
times it got to 60% and then stopped, the second time it got to 53% and
stopped.

Is it me or is it the sheer volume of updates coming through?

Any advice would be welcome.

Many thanks.

This update? - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955020

If it's relevant to your system - manually download and install.

Unfortunately you have provided no details of your operating system or SP level so I'm
guessing.

Hi,

Vista 32 Bit SP1

Whilst waiting your reply I manually installed and it worked fine, just
wondered this is the second time with an update that the automatic install
has not worked.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Sometimes with auto updates, they start to download and then stop and start. Some days you
get them all, some days, you say download and install and they might not turn up for
awhile. Just the luck of the draw. Dont be too concerned at this stage. It was a large
update by the looks of it. I'll have fun with it on the Vista laptop later.

I'm having this same problem, so I downloaded it, saved it to my desktop and
then attempted to install it. It looked like it had installed (the green bar
went all the way across), but then I got the message that it had not been
installed. The first time it tried to install automatically I interrupted
it. I didn't know there was an install going on and my computer had slowed
to a snails pace so I shut it off and turned it back on. Now I have tried
many times and this update just fails to install. Any suggestions?
