download freezes.

Hi
does anyone else have problems with downloads when using vista home premium
..
It starts downloading ok then gets to 1 sec remaining and then absolutetly
nothing happens, the box remains frozen on the screen and there is no
download. I cannot download any updates or anything , it is incredibly
frustrating...
I wondered if this was a common problem and would be grateful if anyone
knows of a solution for this problem that doesn't involve the need to
download anything?

First time I've heard of this problem. I have no problem with downloads on
my Vista Home Premium.

You will have to post a lot more information, I think. Including information
about your connection to the Internet and your firewall settings.

Maybe seeing that someone might have a better idea of a way to help you.

As a test create a New User with Admin Privileges and
then download something with it.

You might also try running CHKDSK as the problem is likely
in the transfer from the temp folder where the file is actually
copied before it is copied to your destination folder.
