Is there a way to download [Optional Hardware Updates] as a for later
installation?
Normally updates can be downloaded as a file for later installation (or
for distribution to other machines or for installing over a network),
but I don't appear to be able to do the same for [Optional Hardware
Updates].
Any help will be appreciated.
Please advise.
Thanks, Tracey

Hello Tracey,

What hardware ?

Do *not* get hardware updates from the Windows/Microsoft updates web page
unless your hardware happens to be Microsoft manufacturered... Always get
the hardware drivers (when you need them) from the actual manufacturer of
said product. (eg. Nvidia Geforce 9200 Graphics Drivers, etc. etc.)

Not a good idea to download hardware drivers from Microsoft Website
because they are likely to be generic and "not fit for purpose". You
only need updated drivers if any new security breach has been
high-lighted otherwise there is no point. All updated drivers should
come from the website of your device maker or your computer maker. Not
from anywhere else. Not even from Microsoft or its elite group of Pigs
(Microsoft Valuable Pigs).
