Download problem - Office 2000 Service Release 1a (SR-1a) - KB2619

I am running genuine Windows XP Pro & Office 2000

When installing I get the following message:

The feature you are trying to use is on a cd-rom or other removable disc
that is not available. Insert the "Microsoft Office 2000 Premium" disc &
click OK

When I insert the cd-rom I get the following message:

Microsoft 2000 SR-1 Premium. Error 1328. Error applying patch to file
C:\Config.Msi\PT1F1.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means, and can
no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch
vendor.

Therefore I click Cancel to the installation and get the following message:

Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Update did not complete successfully. For
assistance, contact Microsoft Technical Support.
See the log file: Office 2000 SR-1 Setup(0008).txt.

How you I get around update the above - I need to do this in order to get
the SP1 & SP2 updates. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You receive an "Error 1328. Error applying patch to file C:\program files\Microsoft Office\Winword.exe" error message when you apply
a post-SR-1 client update in Office 2000

I suggest that you:

- Uninstall Office 2000
- Install Office 2000 from your CD-ROM, custom selecting to install
absolutely every option to hard disk.
- Apply SR-1, and all the relevant Office Service Packs.
