My computer repeatedly restarts after failure to install SP1. I can't reboot
using F8. Can anyone help?

I get STOP:0x0000007B message after booting from CD. How can I run CHKDSK/F
to check for hard drive corruption?

Why waste time with SP1? Several posts in this and other Newsgroups say
Microsoft SP2 (on a free CD) is now available through Staples, Circuit City,
and other similiar retailers. SP2 in this form is a super set with an update
scanner AND every change to XP since it was initially fielded [including
SP1].
