I replaced my old HD with a new one, but Windows has been giving me fits
since. Now, my current problem is the updates. B/C the registry files (i
think) r still showing the patches are there, it won't allow me to run the
SP2 update. Windows Update tells me it needs to download, it initializes and
then it tells me it fails. There's no error code or anything. I know I
can't remove from the add/delete control panel. Any ideas on what I should
do????

How did you replace the HD? Was this the drive WIndows was on? Did you
reinstall Windows?
Windows what (Home, Media, Pro)? If you reinstalled Windows, did you
reformat?

-> How did you replace the HD? I COPIED IT INTERNALLY USING A WESTERN DIGITAL
UTILITY.
-> Was this the drive WIndows was on? I COPIEDTHE HARD DRIVE FROM ONE TO A
TOTALLY NEW CLEAN HD. THERE WERE NO FILES ON THE NEW ONE.
->Did you reinstall Windows? MICROSOFT SUPPORT UNINSTALLED & REINSTALLED ALL
THE OFFICE APPLICATIONS, NOT THE OPERATING SYSTEM (XP HOME) WHICH APPEARS TO
BE WORKING FINE.
->Windows what (Home, Media, Pro)? If you reinstalled Windows, did you
reformat?
