Download

I received the e-mail with a link to download the Vista Beta. When I tried I
got the message that it was too busy and to come back later. I tried a few
times and now I get the folowing message:

You have received the maximum number of Product Keys available for this
program.

How do I get around this to download the Beta?

Generally this happens because the user is trying to access the download by
using the http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvist...y/preview.mspx link.
ie. the windows vista download option under the vista community page. This
link is only used to recieve your key for the iso. once you receive the
email, you MUST use the link on this email to get to the download site again
to select your type of download and start the process.

You have to use the link in the email they sent you in order to download.
Don't delete the message in case you have to download again. This message
tells you they have sent you the maximim number of Product Keys and won't be
sending anymore messages to you with the Product key.

Ok, this isn't making sense to me. I logged in, filled out the goofy
questions and chose to download over buy a DVD and it went straight to the
error message. I never saw a screen to generate an email and have not gotten
one.

I went back to buy the DVD and it runs for a while and then says "done" at
a blank white page, even in IE.

Is this the verify e-mail, e-mail... or are we waiting for another message
with the key & link in it? After following the link in the Verify e-mail
message, it sent me directly to a page that stated the error everybody else
is getting about the product keys.

Okay I finally got my key. I went through the process again and it came up in
a separate window and said to print the page then click on the link. It did
not come in an email. Now that I have the dl started, it's moving like
molasses going uphill in the winter.

I got an email several minutes later, but it was after I started my
download. When I wnet through again I clicked the link under DL down the page
below order the DVD and it went to another page that had a little colored box
and some links to choose your language. I clicked and it opened the page with
a lil yeller box that had the key codei n it and links for 32 or 64 bit. Then
you click for the download manager, I doubled this page one in Firefox and
one also in IE just in case. By the time I got the IE page going the FF page
was at 1% and stayed ahead. Since the FF page worked properly I closed IE and
now I'm at 15%. There is someone out there mirroring the DL with a torrent if
you have trouble with the DL after you get the key. You have to get the key
first regurdless of where you DL the program.
