You mention you have Cable Internet, but you neglected to mention what
speed.
But there are many factors involved that can cause this download to
take so long (although, I must admit, 24+ Hours is a little abnormal):
- *Network Congestion* - Unlikely as this may be, the download site
from which you are getting the SP may be overloaded.
- *Slow line speed* - Your internet connection may just be slow. Try
re-connecting to see if it improves. a 385Kb ADSL line should allow
the download to complete in 4 to 5 hours.
- *Poor System Resources* - You said you're using Windows Vista
Basic. Perhaps your computer just cannot deal with the high speed
required for such a download?
