After installing Win xp Pro, I was dowloading, via
dialup, the 23 critical updates from having clicked the
Update icon on the task bar. I failed to record the kb
numbers for the 23 items. After about 45% of download had
been performed, an error was encountered and the process
stopped. Next day and after clicking the Update icon on
the task bar, it immediately began an installation. Then,
I went to the Windows Update site to find out that there
were two more critical updates to download. I recorded
their kb numbers.
I know that downloads can be restarted, if interrupted.
However, is an error out condition also covered by the
downloads that can be restarted, once interrupted?
The second question is, is there a way to learn what was
installed?
Lastly, is there a way to determine which kb items should
have been installed to move from the CD's version to the
current version?
Thank you, guys n gals.
