Thank you for your help.
I just checked both the "Program Files" and "Program Files x86" and
they both have the "iexplore.exe" file BUT the .exe file installs the
beta 8 version of IE. (My son told me he put IE back where it was
supposed to be, but it looks like he replaced version 7 with beta 8.)
I don't think I want to take the risk of just deleting the beta 8
version to see if version 7 just pops back up.
Microsoft doesn't provide a download for IE version 7 for Vista because
it's part of Vista.
Any other ideas would be much appreciated.
