Sorry I left out that info ..... I have set up a directory for downloads:
C://Users/
Sharon/Downloads. What is interesting is that I can download zip
shareware into that directory but when I tried to download a Vista driver
module for my Canon printer from the Canon site, I got the message that I
didn't have permission to download to that directory. I had forgotten just
what the message said, so I went to Canon's site again and downloaded the
file again....and this time, it went into C://Users/Sharon/Downloads with no
error message! I tried it again, saving it my F:// drive directory and
still, no problem. So, it looks like this was something I was doing wrong,
although I don't know what it was. Thanks for replying and offering help -
