Downloaded update blocker for vista due to recommendation

Downloaded a "security feature" designed to prevent updates from downloading
until sp1 is out for vista. It backfired on me, and now I cant download any
updates from microsoft at all. Need help...new vid card is sweet, and windows
rating is at 1.0. It was 5.2. Want my status of 5.2 back, my updates, and to
be able to play crysis at speed again. Someone please help

What would help -
What Vista?
What security feature did you download?
From where did you get it?
Why did you get it?
Do you not know that you can prevent updates from downloading by configuring
WU?
Have you tried to uninstall this 'feature'?
Have you tried 'System Restore' - I assume Vista has it along with its
pretty lights etc?
What happened to the 'old' GPU?
