claims "the Player periodically scans your library for songs that are
missing album art." This doesn't happen for me; I have old rips of albums
that are missing art, yet the player doesn't download any. If I choose "Find
album info", the best hit usually has the correct art though. There's also
"Update album info", which downloads art but without warning or confirmation
overwrites my edited track names and other data.
How can I download album art through the player without updating the rest of
the media data? The online databases usually contain badly formatted or
incomplete values, so I don't want those.
